Virginia and Francis (Frank) Maas have been leaders in the Los Angeles Jewish community for over 45 years. They are partners in their commitment toward maintaining a vibrant Jewish community and have worked tirelessly to help insure this continues in Los Angeles.
Frank served as Chair of the American Jewish University, President of Aviva Family and Children’s Center, Beverly Hills B’nai B’rith, and Hillcrest Country Club and as an officer and member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Jewish Federation for over 38 years.
Virginia served as Chair of the American Jewish University, President of the Beverly Hills School Board, Temple Beth Am, and Jewish Community Centers of Los Angeles. She has also served in leadership positions on the Board of the Jewish Federation, Beit T’Shuvah and Friends of the Beverly Hills Library. Her community service has had a primary focus in creating and enhancing educational programming.
Frank was born and raised in Beverly Hills and is President of FS Maas and Company, a family real estate investment and management firm established over 75 years ago. Frank is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, received his law degree from the University of Southern California and practiced transactional real estate law for thirty-five years.
Virginia received her undergraduate and master degrees in English Literature from UCLA.
Frank and Virginia are the proud parents of two children Monique Gibbons ((Bradley), Michael Maas (Theresa) and four grandchildren, Barry, Emilie, Alana and Jason. They are extremely proud of their children and their spouses who continue the Maas legacy of meaningful involvement in the Los Angeles Jewish community.
