Part II: Yom Kippur 101 (September 28): Do people really change? Yom Kippur teaches the pathway to authentic, lasting change (no shortcuts, just meaningful spiritual work). Learn what to wear (whites), what to eat (nothing), and what’s at stake (everything) on the holiest day of the year.
About the Instructor
Rabbi Adam Greenwald
Rabbi Adam Greenwald currently serves as the spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Israel in Orange County, CA, where he is passionate about building an inclusive, caring Jewish community that feels like family. Before that, he was Vice President for Jewish Engagement at American Jewish University, where he founded the Maas Center for Jewish Journeys, authored On One Foot – the course book and curriculum of the Miller Intro to Judaism Program, and personally taught more than 1,000 individuals of diverse backgrounds on their paths to finding a home in Judaism. For his work with the Miller Program, he is a recipient of the Covenant Foundation’s Pomegranate Prize in Jewish Education. Rabbi Adam loves classic films, long road trips, and frying schnitzel. He shares his life with his wife, Anne Hromadka, a curator specializing in contemporary Jewish art, and their spirited six year old, Gracie.
